El subjuntivo se usa siempre después de las siguientes expresiones adverbiales:

• Para que (so that, in order that)
• A menos que (unless)
• A no ser que (unless)
• Con tal (de) que (on the condition that, provided that)
• A condición de que (on the condition that)
• Antes de que (before)
• En caso de que (in case)
• Sin que (without)
• A fin de que (in order that)

Ejemplos:

El profe nos explica la lección antes de que escribamos los ejercicios.

No salgo de noche sin que mis padres lo sepan.


Combine Ud. las dos oraciones en una sola usando las expresiones dadas arriba.

1. No podemos bajar de peso.  Hacemos ejercicio.
2. Puedo comprarme un nuevo coche.  Mis padres me dan el dinero.
3. Vamos a comprar todos los ingredientes.  Mamá nos hace una torta.
4. Mis compañeros de equipo tienen que venir a la reunión.  El entrenador quiere hablarles.
5. Vamos a memorizar el vocabulario.  Tenemos un examen mañana.
6. No puedo salir de la casa.  Mis padres lo saben.
7. Vamos a la playa.  Va a llover.
8. No puedo entender la tarea.  El profe me ayuda.
9. Voy a llamarla.  Ella sale de la casa.
10. Voy a la práctica de baloncesto.  Estoy enfermo.

9. She’ll study unless her boyfriend calls her.
